International Leadership Institute Jointly with the University of Greenwich Convened the 7TH   Joint International Conference on Women’s Role in the Sustainable Development of Africa Friday, November 27, 2015

With 2015 being a Year of Women Empowerment and Development towards Africa’s Agenda 2063, International leadership Institute (ILI) jointly with the University of Greenwich (UoG) organized the 7th joint international conference.

This year’s conference was organized under the theme of Women’s Role in the Sustainable Development of Africa. The year 2015 has been dedicated to empower women in the continent to achieve gender equality in every sector. More or less the continent started to witness gender equality in some countries. The number of women in business, agriculture, education, health and industry is increasing and we are having women entrepreneurs and successful women farmers better than previous decades. Women representation in politics through quota system has also increased than ever before.

The conference has started with an opening remark delivered by the president of ILI Prof.  Badeg Bekele and Dr. Tesfa Mariam, Research Representative of UoG. Then followed by keynote addresses Dr. Tewabech Bishaw, Founding and Managing Director of Alliance for Brain-Gain and Innovative Development (ABIDE) and Mrs. Mulu Solomon General Manager of Right Vision international P.L.C and President of Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations (ECCSA).

On this event, nine researches have been presented by researchers from different universities of Ethiopia. The event has managed to gather officials, researchers, students and academicians from various national and international organizations, universities, NGO’s and institutions.

Saturday 3rd October, 2015 an orientation and welcome program was held at ILI compound for the new students of MBA in International Business Collaboration program with the University of Greenwich, London, U.K.

Professor Badeg Bekele, the President of the Institute and other ILI stuff attended the program. Prof. Badeg made his inspiring and motivating speech while at the same time creating a relaxing atmosphere.

International Leadership Institute (ILI) welcomed its new students under the MBA program that is offered here at ILI. The orientation program took place at the 5th of October, 2015. On the program, Professor Badeg Bekele, President of the institute made a remarkable speech with a warm welcome wishing the new students, successful years ahead.
